ORTHOTICS, GOOD FOR KNEE AND FOOT PAIN TOO

CUSTOM MADE ORTHOTICS

Feet are like tripods for the body. If the feet are out of balance they affect the ankles, knees, hips and back.  When the outside of the foot rolls it misaligns the body and the leg will turn to make up for the disruption.  This puts pressure on the knee, back and other joints.
Custom made prescription orthotics are usually prescribed for plantar fasciitis, a painful condition that involves the inflammation of a thick, ligament-like band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of the foot and connects the heel bone to the toes.  This band pulls on the heel bone, raising the arch of your foot as it pushes off the ground.  If your foot moves incorrectly, the plantar fascia could become strained.  The fascia may swell and its tiny fibers may begin to fray causing Plantar Fasciitis.
Custom made orthotics are cushioned inserts that align the feet, keep the heel from throbbing and work quickly to relieve foot pain. Many doctors will prescribe custom molded orthotics to alleviate this pain and pressure.
